Albany, Southgate and Southbury leisure centres will be opening up for free taster sessions this Saturday and Sunday
The operator of Enfield’s leisure centres will be hosting an ‘open weekend’ where local residents can enjoy a range of free gym, swim and health sessions.
From family swimming sessions to nutrition clinics, Albany, Southgate and Southbury leisure centres will be opening up for free taster sessions this Saturday and Sunday (23rd and 24th).
Better’s annual open weekend initiative encourages residents of all ages to try a range of activities at their local leisure and sports centres, as well as offering free health and wellness checks and information sessions.
Albany Leisure Centre will be offering a wide selection of fitness activities, including ‘aqua splash, kids’ taster swimming, table tennis and gym sessions. There will also be health check and nutrition clinics, NHS glucose testing and diabetes awareness and first aid basics, as well as an Introduction to lifeguarding rescue skills workshop.
Southbury Leisure Centre will have table tennis, pickleball, badminton, adult and junior gym sessions and soft play, while Southgate Leisure Centre will be running swimming for all the family and a range of gym sessions.
Vishal Karia, GLL partnership manager, said: “As a social enterprise, Better believes in giving back to the community and our open weekends are a great way for us to do this.
“They are always extremely well attended and fantastic fun, so we urge as many people as possible to come along and see what’s on offer.”
Day passes for the open weekend can be booked from 21st November:
