This privacy policy explains how Enfield Dispatch uses any personal information we collect about you when you use our website or contact us by phone, email or other correspondence. This policy outlines what information we collect, how it is stored and what it is used for. It is our policy not to use any personal information for any purpose other than which it is intended.

We are an independent community newspaper for the London borough of Waltham Forest. Enfield Dispatch is published by Social Spider CIC.

Why we collect personal data

If you sign up to our newsletter we will collect basic identification information such as your name and contact details. This will be used for:

  1. Electronic delivery of emails, newsletters and any other internally generated information relating to the content of the newspaper, and to keep you informed of upcoming editorial meetings and events.
  2. To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We would like to send you information about the newspaper and associated events that may be of interest to you. We will do so if you have signed up to our mailing list. How we store and protect your data

We will retain all given information on the following basis:

  1. Our mailing database is stored via Mailchimp. You may unsubscribe and/or have your details deleted at any time.
  2. Membership of Enfield Dispatch is dealt with via GoCardless, which stores your billing information. Please be aware that all transactions are subject to GoCardless’ Privacy Policy.
  3. Membership data is stored on a password-protected online document.

We will not sell or share any personally identifiable information collected by us to any third party.
