“It is amazing to see ethical newspapers and print media still exist. It was such a pleasure to work with the team, we had real value for money and the best opportunity to reach the community in the area we were working. Thank you so much”
Claire Farrell, Canal & River Trust charity
“The communities of Edmonton and Enfield need a platform for their voice to be heard. The Dispatch champions great community work and most importantly does not shy away from challenging social and economic injustices”
Andrew Ryde, Chamberlains Estates
“Over the past three years, The Nightingale has been advertising with Enfield Dispatch and we’ve seen awareness of the charity in our community increase…a lot! Whether an ad about our event or how we can help people affected by cancer, we have found them very useful in reaching a new and wider audience than we ever have before. Plus, the team are super helpful in finding the right ad that suits our needs.”
Lucy McGinn, Marketing & Communications Officer, The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre
Who we are
Enfield Dispatch is the borough’s free community newspaper. It includes local news, features about community projects and campaigns, comment and opinion on what’s happening in the borough, interviews with local people, and previews of local events.
The paper is published by Social Spider Community News, which also runs four other news outlets in north-east London – Haringey Community Press, Waltham Forest Echo, Barnet Post and Newham Voices – on a not-for-profit basis. The Dispatch relies on advertising revenue to cover production costs but all income is reinvested in the continuing success of the paper.

“I began to receive inquiries as soon as the paper went out, and a month on I’m still hearing from potential clients. It was very good value, and I’d definitely advertise with you again. Also the support you provided were absolutely brilliant!”
