An Enfield arts group has been nominated for a prestigious award.

Dyspla’s project ‘Enfield is Disabled’ was shortlisted along with nine others for Peugeot’s Artist of the Future Award. The digital artwork was originally developed as part of a residency at Arbeit Studio last year.

The exhibition will be showcased at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea from Saturday (25th) until January, with the winner announced on Tuesday, 25th November.

A spokesperson for the group said: “It is an incredible feeling and we are proud to be representing our home borough of Enfield. We want to say a massive thank you to both Arbeit Studio and Enfield Council for providing local artists with opportunities.”

Ten Enfield-based artists submitted work to the exhibition: Anthony Kolatsi, AVB, Chris Stewart, Frankie Brady, Mary Duggan, Molly Gill, Patrick Collins,  Stella Kolatsi and three other artists who chose to remain anonymous.

Dyspla added: “Making artwork collectively is powerful. The impact is long-lasting, and the nomination proves that investment is always worth it.”

The group aims to produce and develop the work of neurodivergent and disabled artists across Enfield.

The winner of the award will receive the title of ‘Artist of the Future 2025’ – and a cash prize of £10,000.
