The open weekend includes free adult and junior gym sessions and fitness classes

Four borough leisure centres are opening their doors to the public with a range of free activities and taster sessions to encourage people of all ages to stay fit and well during the colder months.
Southgate, Southbury, Albany and Edmonton leisure centres will all be offering adult and junior gym sessions and free fitness classes on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November.
In addition, Southgate will offer strength and conditioning classes, massage and acupuncture sessions, cardio and face-painting.
Albany Leisure Centre in Enfield Wash will host junior swim, nutrition workshop, health checks, first aid workshop and seated exercise classes.
Edmonton Leisure Centre in Fore Street will offer family pickleball, group cycle, social badminton, arts and crafts, treasure hunt and health checks.
And at Southbury, there will be family pickleball.
The four leisure centres are all operated by GLL, under its brand Better, on behalf of Enfield Council.
This year’s open weekend runs with the theme of ‘thriving on purpose’, celebrating the positive impact of inclusive, purpose-driven activities for people of all ages and abilities.
Vishal Karia, GLL partnership manager, said: “The open weekend is a fantastic opportunity to visit your local Better leisure centre and find out what they offer. There are so many ways to keep fit and active and try out new activities – you might make new friends and discover a talent you didn’t know you had!”
