An Enfield Wash nursing home held a “joyful” summer celebration last week – and was joined by Enfield North MP Feryal Clark.

Albany Park Nursing Home was “filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt moments” for its annual summer barbecue celebration last Saturday (19th).

The event brought together residents, their families, and staff for a “truly memorable day” with live music, a barbecue, children’s face painting, photo booth, and “vibrant dance performances” that “brought smiles all around”.

Care manager Dimple Jose said afterwards: “One of the highlights of the day was the visit from Enfield North MP Feryal Clark, who took time from her busy schedule to join in the festivities. Her presence and warm words were deeply appreciated by all attendees.

“The summer barbecue at Albany Park Nursing Home wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of connection, belonging, and the joy of shared moments. It reinforced what makes Albany Park not just a nursing home, but a true extended family.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated and supported the event, helping us create yet another unforgettable summer day.”
