A free cultural festival featuring live performances, interactive workshops, and community celebrations is taking place in Edmonton this Saturday (25th).

Edmonton Green Shopping Centre is hosting ‘The World of Wonders’, which it describes as a “vibrant cultural festival celebrating the rich diversity of the local community”.

Taking place from 11am in the North Square, the free event promises a day filled with music, movement, colour and connection.

The festival will showcase the “thriving global community that calls Edmonton home”, featuring “spectacular live performances by the acclaimed Bollywood Vibes dance company”.

Visitors can witness their “dazzling display” before joining in with mini workshops to perfect their own Thumka and Mudras dance moves. The infectious rhythms of dhol drums will also fill the centre as musicians parade throughout, creating an “immersive cultural experience”.

Free creative workshops and activities Include on offer include evil eye bracelet making, bright lantern crafting, mindful drawing sessions, professional henna painting, photo opportunities at the impressive ‘Wonders of the World’ arch, as well as a ‘best dressed’ competition with a chance to win a £50 gift card.

“We’re thrilled to bring our community together to celebrate the incredible cultural diversity that makes Edmonton Green so special,” said Sam Ibrahim, Edmonton Green’s centre manager.

“The World of Wonders represents everything we love about our local community – the coming together of different cultures, traditions, and people to create something truly magical.”
