We are incredibly proud to share that Young Talent Academy (YTA) and our wonderful Young Notes Choir were invited to take part in the Royal British Legion’s official VE Day and VJ Day anniversary project, commemorating 80 years since the end of the Second World War.

We were approached by the brilliant Mark De-Lisser, who invited us to be part of the legion’s brand new educational film series, I’ll Remember – a powerful project that brings together veterans and young people to reflect on the legacy of the Second World War and ensure these vital stories are preserved for generations to come.

A group of our talented singers from our Young Notes Choir had the honour of performing I’ll Remember, a moving new song composed by Simon Haw and arranged by Mark De-Lisser. I’d like to give a huge thanks to our incredible choir leader Zola Joseph for teaching the arrangement so beautifully and bringing such emotion and depth to the performance.

To be involved in a project of such national significance has been a truly meaningful experience for our students. It’s not only a tribute to those who served, but also a chance for young people to connect with the past through the power of music.

One of our singers said: “Singing in this project meant so much to me. My great-grandad gave so much to the legion, and I know he would’ve been proud to see us remembering in this way.”

Over the years, Young Notes have built a reputation for vocal excellence, working on projects with brands such as Burberry, Avon, and Centre Parcs UK. Being part of this remembrance project is a highlight we’ll never forget.

We’re so honoured to have played a part in this moment of national reflection. Young Notes is open to anyone with a passion for singing aged from three years all the way up to 25 – all are welcome!
