The attack happened on a council estate during the middle of Sunday afternoon

Officers investigating a serious assault in Enfield Highway have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder as detectives continue to appeal for witnesses.
Police were called at 4.37pm on Sunday, 9th March to reports of a stabbing in Lawson Road, which is part of Lytchet Way Estate. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance and a man is his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has now been assessed as non-life threatening.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
Investigating officers are carrying out multiple enquiries in the local area and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact police.
Detective Inspector Mike Herrick, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a horrific attack in broad daylight, which we know has shocked the local community in Enfield. Officers were quickly on the scene and were able to immediately arrest a man who remains in custody.
“Residents and visitors to the area will have noticed an increased police presence while this investigation remains ongoing. I would encourage anyone within the community who has any concerns to speak to our officers who will be in the area over the coming days.
“I encourage anyone who has information but may not have contacted police yet to get in touch and assist with this investigation.”
