A man remains in “critical condition” with a stab wound following an apparent crime spree in Palmers Green.
A series of linked incidents late on Thursday (12th) involved gunshots and a car chase, while the 32-year-old man with a serious stab wound later arrived at hospital saying he had been attacked as part of the incidents.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the victim remained in a “life threatening condition” as of Saturday (14th).
At least four different areas in and around Palmers Green town centre were cordoned off on Friday (13th), including Park Avenue at the junction with Green Lanes, Devonshire Square, The Grove and another area of Green Lanes around Suffolk House. A dark grey BMW was later seen being towed away by police at the Park Avenue junction.
No arrests in relation to the incidents have been made.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Thursday, 12th June at 10.35pm officers responded to reports of gunshots in Palmers Green, N13.
“Shortly after at 10.57pm officers were called to more gunshots observed at another address in Palmers Green.
“Later at 11.33pm police attended a hospital in Enfield after a 32-year-old man presented with stab wounds. His injuries have been assessed as life-threatening and he remains in a critical condition.
“Several crime scenes have been established and officers, including detectives from specialist crime, are working at pace to progress this investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
