Man killed after car hits people waiting at North Circular bus stop

A man has been killed after a car hit a group of people waiting at a bus stop on the North Circular in Edmonton.

Emergency services were called to the scene, near the junction with Eley Road, at 2.50pm on Tuesday (30th May) to reports of a collision. At the scene, a car was found to have been in collision with three people who were standing at a bus stop on the eastbound carriageway.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, a man, believed to be aged in his 60s, died at the scene. His family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Two other people were taken to hospital for treatment; their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. There have been no arrests. Detectives would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who captured it on dashcam.
