A launch event for I’m Not Scared is taking place this Saturday with a chance to meet the author

A new children’s book set at Forty Hall is being published by the Enfield Council-owned estate.
I’m Not Scared, featuring the tale of Rip the dog, authored and illustrated by Blossom Carrasco, was commissioned and published by Forty Hall Estate.
Blossom draws inspiration from real characters and follows Rip’s adventures through the landscape and hall, “making the tale perfect for primary school children”.
An official launch event for the book, including a ‘meet and greet’ with Blossom, is taking place on Saturday, 29th November. The event will take place on the front lawn at Forty Hall from 12pm to 2pm.
I’m Not Scared will also be available to purchase, with a 10% discount offered on the day. A contribution from every book sale will go back to the Friends of Forty Hall Park voluntary group.
Chinelo Anyanwu, the council’s cabinet member for culture and Inclusion said: “We are so happy to keep the culture and the history of Forty Hall alive through the release of I’m Not Scared.
“Children can dive deep into the heritage of Forty Hall and discover what mysteries and adventures the estate holds.
“A lot of thought and love has been poured into curating this book, so thank you to Blossom and our Friends of Forty Hall Park for your efforts. This could be the perfect gift to give your kids, niece or nephew this Christmas.
“Forty Hall Park is recognised as one of the UK’s very best green spaces and is also a home to a growing beaver family, thanks to our beaver reintroduction project.
“In recent months, we have further been awarded £240,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to launch a new heritage education project across the borough, including Forty Hall.
“We have and will continue to invest in Forty Hall Park, and estate.”
The book will be available to purchase at Forty Hall Shop or online after the launch event.
