A large new charity shop has opened in Edmonton selling second-hand furniture.

The new British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre offers an “incredible selection of preloved furniture”.

The team of staff and volunteers curated a selection of items to entice shoppers inside the new shop with a “fantastic selection” of home goods, from beds and wardrobes to sofas and white goods. The charity is encouraging the local community to support the new opening and grab themselves a bargain.

BHF area manager Sean Connor said the store is right in the centre of the community and they have been incredibly supportive of the new opening.

Sean adds: “We’d like to thank the community for all their support. Not only in terms of donations of stock, but also seeing shoppers come down and support the opening today. We’re really looking forward to being a part of this incredible community and excited to welcome everyone through the doors.

“Whether you’re looking for storage options after Christmas or treating yourself to a new sofa, pop in and visit us to see what we have available. With daily deliveries, stock is always changing and new pieces continually added to the shop floor.

“Don’t forget we also offer a free collection service, so if you’d like to donate any of your preloved quality furniture, give the store a call to arrange and we’ll do the heavy lifting!”

All the money raised in BHF stores helps fund the charity’s lifesaving research. Supporters can also donate their time and the charity is also looking for volunteers who can spare an hour or two to help in store.

Sean adds: “We’re an incredibly friendly bunch so please do pop in and say hello. We would be hugely grateful for anyone looking to volunteer with us. If you have a spare hour or two or items you’re looking to donate, the team would love to hear from you.”

The store is located in the shopping centre’s north square.
