The huge artwork has been created by street artist Peachzz in Fore Street

A huge new mural has been painted in Edmonton as “a vibrant celebration of Morocco and football”.
Just under 100 days before the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) begins in Morocco, the artwork has been created by UK street artist Peachzz and is said to bring “a splash of North African colour and energy” to North London.
Located in Fore Street, the mural takes inspiration from Peachzz’s travels through Morocco, reflecting the country’s “rich culture, bold colours, and passion for the beautiful game”. Moroccan international and Crystal Palace defender Chadi Riad joined Peachzz – real name Megan Russell – to reveal the piece.
Chadi said: “A mural like this will spark curiosity, encourage people to find out more about Morocco, and inspire them to engage with Afcon when it comes around. It feels right for London, a city with such a rich history of creative expression, to be the place where our football and our culture are celebrated together.”
Street artist Peachzz added: “I want people to feel a spark of curiosity, to notice the details, to feel the energy of Morocco, and maybe even to be inspired to discover the country for themselves.”
The artwork is the first in a series of large-scale, artist-led murals appearing in European cities as part of a collaboration between Tripadvisor and the Moroccan government, with Afcon set to be hosted in the North African nation starting on 21st December.
