A Post Office branch in Bush Hill Park is set to be relocated after a postmaster resigned.

The current site at 4 Queen Anne’s Place is proposed to be closed down with a new operator stepping in to open a new Post Office in St Mark’s Road instead, 400 metres away on the other side of Bush Hill Park Station.

The new premises, currently empty, would undergo a full refurbishment to incorporate a confectionery, soft drinks, stationery and cards store.

It would have two screened Post Office counters and boast longer opening times of 54 hours per week, twelve longer than the current site, with an end to lunchtime closing, Saturday afternoon and later closing.

A consultation is now open on the proposed move with customers having the opportunity to give feedback until 14th November.

Customers can share their views at postofficeviews.co.uk using the branch code 144005.
