Enfield education project Nexus is hosting a screening of three short films at Dugdale Arts Centre next month.

Attendees can watch Omari Green, the young mayor of Enfield, on screen performing his spoken word piece, as well as hearing how Nexus has helped shape his journey.

The event is taking place on Thursday, 9th October, from 7pm-8pm.

Organiser Anna Vaughan, project manager of Nexus, said: “I am really excited by this event which we know will be really special. Enfield’s first mayor of Caribbean heritage will be hosting an evening celebrating the journey of the young mayor of Enfield, Omari Green, also of Caribbean heritage.

“We will be screening three special short films, one on the first arts festival for Enfield secondary schools, one an art film of Omari’s spoken word piece and the third a conversation film with Omari sharing his history and the part Nexus has played. “
