Bethany England, Jess Naz and Luana Buhler surprise children with gifts at Craig Park Youth Centre
Three Spurs stars helped spread some Christmas joy by delivering gifts to an Edmonton youth centre.
Bethany England, Jess Naz and Luana Buhler delivered the toys to children at Craig Park Youth Centre as part of Tottenham Hotspur’s “traditional community support” at this time of year.
The donated toys included Lego, board games and arts and crafts.
England international Jess, who herself grew up in Enfield, explained the importance of the club providing this support. She said: “I have grown up here, this community has given me so much, and my football career started here, so to be able to give back and put a smile on the young people’s faces is great.”
Bethany added: “It’s been an amazing day – it is always a privilege to be able to give back to our community as not everyone has a support network. I think that’s what is great about Christmas – knowing that there is someone out there who cares and is there to support you.”
Enfield Council leader Ergin Erbil, who represents Edmonton Green ward, thanked the club for its support and said: “It is so important to inspire young people, which is why we are absolutely thrilled to welcome some of the country’s best female football players to Enfield.
“These positive role models are critical for young people’s personal development. Thank you Spurs for coming to Edmonton Green in Enfield and for spreading some Christmas joy.”
