Enfield Children and Young Persons Services and Family Based Solutions were both nominated for a prestigious awards ceremony

Two charities from Enfield have received national recognition for their work helping children and young people in the borough.
Enfield Children and Young Persons Services (ECYPS) and Family Based Solutions (FBS) were both among 450 finalists at the National Children and Young People Now Awards 2025, which took place last Thursday (20th) in West London.
ECYPS received national recognition for its work with families, being ‘highly commended’ at the prestigious awards in the family support category, while FBS was also shortlisted for the same prize.
For more than two decades, ECYPS has been a consistent presence in Edmonton, particularly for those families who might otherwise fall through the gaps. It runs holistic programmes with whole families to make lives safer, healthier and more supportive for children and young people.
Youth and inclusion co-ordinator Carina Moore-Moscattini said: “This award is really for the families, young people, staff and volunteers who have stood with us through all the ups and downs.
“Their resilience, honesty and trust in us is what makes our work possible. We’re delighted and more determined than ever to keep going.”
As funding pressures continue and demand for support rises, ECYPS says it hopes its national commendation will “shine a light” on the crucial role that “preventative, family-focused work” plays in safeguarding children and young people across Enfield – tackling problems including housing, finances and health under one umbrella.
FBS, meanwhile, also expressed joy at being shortlisted for the award. The charity, which supports North London families experiencing or recovering from abuse, posted on Facebook: “This recognition is a huge honour and a testament to the dedication of our team, families, and partners who work tirelessly to create real change in our community.
“We’re also incredibly proud that not one but two Enfield charities have been shortlisted this year, showcasing the amazing work happening locally to support children, young people, and families.”
