Anthony Webb has been based at the same office in Green Lanes since 2000 and is famed for its support of local schools and other good causes

A Palmers Green estate agents described as a “community champion” in the local area has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
On Friday (28th) current and former staff of Anthony Webb in Green Lanes were joined by Southgate and Wood Green MP Bambos Charalambous, who cut a ceremonial ribbon to mark the occasion, plus Reverend Archimandrite Dr Nikodemos Anagnostopoulos, who gave a special Orthodox blessing.
In his speech Charalambous praised Tony Ourris, company founder and director, for his contribution to the local community as well as his success as a local businessman.
“We rely on businesses that do things properly, have a great reputation and are invested in the community,” the Labour MP said.
“Tony and the team do a fantastic job and we are very lucky to have them – here’s to the next 25 years!”
For the past 13 years Anthony Webb has published a local magazine, Palmers Green and Southgate Life, that helps connect local businesses, good causes and the community.
There was also a surprise for Tony as children from Hazelwood School presented a handmade card to thank him for his “unwavering commitment and support of the school” over the past 25 years.

In his own speech, Tony said that he had started the business aged just 27 and that it became the “leading estate agents in Palmers Green” within just twelve months.
In recent years Anthony Webb has also picked up a number of awards, including a ‘gold winner’ for lettings at the British Property Awards 2022/23 and picking up a Best Estate Agent Guide Award for sales in 2024.
“I have had many mentors through my 38 years in the business but none more so than my mum and dad,” said Tony. “They have always guided me on how to be the best person I can be and have given me a good work ethic.”
He continued: “I want to thank my many clients, sellers and tenants. Some of you have been clients of mine for over two decades.
“Anthony Webb has had lots of success stories over the years and won a few awards, including being recognised by the Best Estate Agents Awards for sales, the British Property Awards for lettings – and even Enfield in Bloom for best window box!
“I have always tried to give something back to the community and for 25 years we have supported Hazelwood School, and long may it continue.”
Emma Rigby, from local business network Love Your Doorstep, was also in attendance and praised Anthony Webb’s significant community impact. She said: “From the day Love Your Doorstep launched 13 years ago, Tony has been a constant source of kindness and support.
“He reflects everything we value in a local leader, someone who lifts others up, brings people together, and genuinely cares. More than just a trusted estate agent, Tony is a true community champion.
“Over the years, Anthony Webb has supported countless local schools and initiatives – from Hazelwood, Oakthorpe, and St Monica’s primary schools, to Firs Farm and other local causes. Their business has never just been about property, it’s about people, community, and connection.”
On Thursday, 1st May, Anthony Webb is hosting an event offering advice to landlords on how best to navigate a number of recent law changes. The event is free to attend and takes place at Chickenshed Theatre in Southgate from 5.30pm.
