Parades and services will be held in Edmonton Green, Enfield Town and Southgate to honour those killed in action during two world wars

Parades and memorial services will be held to commemorate this year’s Remembrance Sunday in the borough, Enfield Council has confirmed.
Residents are being invited to three events on Sunday, 9th November; at Edmonton Green War Memorial, Enfield Town War Memorial and St Andrew’s Church in Southgate.
The events will recognise the sacrifices of those who fought and gave their lives for their country in the two world wars and more recent world conflicts.
A parade in Edmonton Green will start at 10.35am and end at the war memorial at 10.45am before the service begins.
A march in Enfield Town will start at 2.35pm and arrive the war memorial at 2.45pm for a service starting at 3pm.
In Southgate a service will be held at St Andrew’s Church, from 10am-11.15am.
Gina Needs, the council’s cabinet member for community cohesion and enforcement, said: “It’s important we honour and remember the brave men and women who have served our country and those who continue to serve.
“Remembrance Sunday is a time to reflect on the gratitude we owe to those who gave their lives for our freedom. Their courage and bravery must never be forgotten.
“I’d like to invite all residents to join us for our services in Enfield Town, Edmonton Green and Southgate, as we stand together as a community in respect, remembrance, and hope. We will remember them.”
