With the Easter weekend fast approaching the Dispatch looks at the best events you can attend in Enfield and how you enjoy the bank holiday weekend.

There will plenty of opportunities to enjoy a fun Easter weekend with friends and family in Enfield, so be sure to make the most out of it!

Starting off the Easter fun today (6th) and continuing through to Monday (10th), Capel Manor Gardens in Bulls Cross is hosting a variety of activities throughout the weekend and people of all ages will be able to join in on the fun. The big highlight is the Easter egg hunt where children will be given an activity sheet which they can use to hunt down giant eggs hidden across the 30-acre garden. There will also be plenty more activities throughout the day included with your ticket such as meeting the Easter bunny, Easter crafts, ‘hop around’ area and more.

Dugdale Arts Centre in Enfield Town is hosting a range of different workshops for children, including a giant egg-painting workshop on Saturday (8th) at 11am. Children will help paint a giant white papier mache egg and learn about different patterns and colour combinations using drawing materials. It’s a great chance to showcase children’s creativity and the eggs they create will then be put on display at the centre.

On Monday at the Dugdale there will also be an Easter ceramic egg workshop where children will have the chance to have hands-on experience making their own decorations.

Among the other activities on Easter weekend there will be an Easter egg hunt at Bury Lodge Park on Easter Sunday (9th) where kids will try to find six numbered egg shapes to win a prize, plus various arts and crafts activities with entertainment and refreshments provided for families.

At Chickenshed Theatre in Southgate next week a play for young children, Easter Bunny Tales, is running each morning with tickets costing £7 each.

Meanwhile, Enfield Council has a number of free children’s activities planned throughout the Easter break, as part of its holiday activities fund.
