The upcoming timetable change by Greater Anglia will benefit passengers using Brimsdown and Meridian Water stations

Rail passengers using Brimsdown and Meridian Water stations are set to benefit from additional evening services starting next month.

Greater Anglia has announced major timetable changes across its network, which includes the West Anglia Main Line serving eastern Enfield, with trains running from both Liverpool Street and Stratford.

At Brimsdown, multiple evening Cambridge services will start stopping at the station to provide better local coverage. It will mean more regular services for commuters travelling home from Liverpool Street.

In addition, the Stratford to Meridian Water shuttle service will increase from three to four trains per hour during the evening peak.

As part of the alterations, most Greater Anglia services on the West Anglia route will depart between two and four minutes earlier to help improve punctuality and network reliability.

Martin Beable, Greater Anglia managing director, said: “These timetable changes will improve punctuality and reliability across our network, helping customers enjoy faster and more consistent journeys. With our modern fleet now operating all services, rail travel in our region is more comfortable, reliable, and convenient than ever.”
