New passenger shelters have been installed at Brimsdown Station by rail firm Greater Anglia.

The metal and glass shelters have been manufactured by Macemain Amstad and will better protect people from the elements as they wait for trains.

Greater Anglia invested £250,000 in the work to upgrade the customer facilities, which also included another shelter at Northumberland Park Station in Tottenham.

Andrew Goodrum, Greater Anglia’s infrastructure and major projects director, said: “These smart new shelters have improved the appearance of the platforms at Brimsdown and Northumberland Park and will improve the customer experience at these stations as people wait for trains.

“Investing in upgrades to stations across the network is extremely important to Greater Anglia, demonstrating our commitment to providing excellent facilities and service standards for our customers.”
