Metropolitan Police officers have issued an appeal for information following a violent attack in an Enfield park last week.

At around 2.18pm on Friday, 26th June, officers were called to Town Park following reports of an assault.

A man, aged in his 60s, was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service. He was taken to hospital, where his condition was later assessed as “neither life-threatening nor life-changing”.

A Met spokesperson said: “We are aware of the concern that the community will have following this incident. Police patrols have been increased in the area and anyone with concerns is asked to speak to officers.

“No arrests have been made at this stage, and officers continue to make enquiries including about the possible motive for this incident.”
