Santa will be sleighing his way again around Edmonton neighbourhood again this December – helping to raise funds for local charities in the community.

Saint Nick starts sledging on the evening of Friday (1st December) and continues until the 15th, just in time to deliver his “Christmas greetings, charm and cheer!”.

The sleigh ride is organised by The Rotary Club of Edmonton and is supported by 10th Edmonton Scouts, 20th Edmonton Scouts, Edmonton Utd Football Club, Air Training Cadets Edmonton, The Little Things, Nightingale Cancer Support Centre, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, Cooking Champions, Forty Hill Primary School, Russet House School, Fleecefield Primary School and Houndsfield Primary School.

Iain from Edmonton Rotary said: “We are delighted to be launching our Santa campaign again this year to help local charities in Enfield. This is an annual campaign that we run and we know it makes a real difference.

“Residents should keep an eye out for Santa’s sleigh and donate if they can – it’s all going to a good cause!”

As well as Santa’s nighttime rides, on Sunday, 3rd December from 4pm, Father Christmas will ride his sleigh as part of the Parade of Lights which takes place in Enfield Town.
