Enfield Archaeological Society is welcoming people to the site of the former Tudor palace at Forty Hall
Enfield Archaeological Society is hosting an open day on the site of a former Tudor palace at Forty Hall Estate this weekend.
On Saturday, 13th July, from 11am-4pm, visitors are welcome to drop in and speak to volunteers from the society as they undertake the latest dig at the site of Elsyng Palace.
There will be a day of activities to introduce families and friends to the site of the palace and the Tudors who built and lived in it.
Visitors can watch archaeologists excavate the site of the inner gatehouse, check out Tudor artefacts and try a mini sandpit dig, quizzes and craft activities.
