Amazon is hiring more than 250 people in Enfield borough this winter to cover the global company’s annual surge in sales.

The retail giant is recruiting 20,000 seasonal workers across the UK for the festive season, in addition to its 55,000 permanent employees. At Amazon’s Brimsdown depot, around 150 are employed permanently.

Pay for operations roles starts at a minimum of £10 per hour, with Amazon’s delivery station in Enfield also looking for people to deliver parcels in their spare time for between £13 and £15 per hour.

Henry Borrill, Amazon’s Enfield senior delivery station manager, said: “We prepare year-round for the festive season, and we’re excited to have more than 250 positions available this year in Enfield.

“Our seasonal associates play an integral role. We look forward to welcoming back seasonal workers who return year-after-year to Amazon and to welcome new faces to the team, many of whom will continue on to full-time roles with the company after the festive period.”
