Bullsmoor voters will get to pick a new person to represent them at Enfield Civic Centre after a Labour councillor quit last week
A date has been set for the upcoming Bullsmoor by-election following the news last week that a Labour councillor had resigned.
Last Thursday (9th) Esin Gunes announced she was standing down from the civic centre less than a year after being elected for the first time to represent the newly-formed Bullsmoor ward.
Voters will now get to pick her replacement on Thursday, 20th April, with polls opening between 7am and 10pm on that day.
Explaining her reasons for standing down, Esin said she was moving away from the borough with her young family and added: “It has been an honour to serve the residents of Bullsmoor ward and as part of Enfield’s Labour council.”
Candidate nominations for the Bullsmoor by-election are now open and will close on Wednesday, 22nd March. Voter registration is open until Friday, 31st March.
