Hugh Myddelton House in Southgate raised the money after completing a sponsored walk on the hottest day of the year
Staff and residents from a care home in Southgate have raised nearly £3,000 in support of MS Society after completing a sponsored walk on the hottest day of the year.
The team from Hugh Myddelton House completed their walk on Saturday, 9th September, when temperatures hit 32C in London. The ‘orange army’ brought helium filled balloons with them to highlight the good cause while handing out leaflets about multiple sclerosis (MS) along the way.
In total, they raised £2,880. Residents ambassador Rosa Bartolino said: “I would like to thank you for your continual support, and I would also mention that [care home operator] Barchester Healthcare was instrumental with their support.
“The camaraderie among the group was to be admired with lots of laughter and goodwill.”
Hugh Myddelton House Care Home in Old Farm Avenue provides nursing care, dementia care, residential care and respite care.
