The victim was approached by a man in Fore Street and later attacked at a nearby address
Metropolitan Police detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to identify in connection with a rape in Angel Edmonton last year.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, 6th August 2023, a woman was approached by a man in Fore Street. He walked her to an unknown address nearby where he attacked and raped her.
The victim later reported the incident to police and an investigation was launched, led by detectives based in Enfield.
Detective Constable Atif Farid said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim and we have been carrying out extensive enquiries to try and find the person responsible.
“We are now releasing an image of a man we need to identify and speak to in connection with this investigation. The picture is fairly clear and the man is wearing a distinctive top and hat. We would ask anyone who recognises him to contact us immediately.”
