Dugdale Arts Centre’s latest series of Edinburgh preview shows has begun.

The Enfield Town venue hosted previews of Rob Auton’s Jupiter and Bafta-winner Iain Stirling’s show last night (Thursday 14th), but there’s plenty more to come.

Every year comedians due to perform at the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August tour smaller venues to offer ‘previews’ of their sets in the months prior to the big event.

The festival is the world’s largest performing arts festival and hosts many well-known comedians each year.

The next Edinburgh preview show at the Dugdale will be hosted on Thursday, 25th June and will feature the debut fringe show by Cecily Hitchcock, a rising star with over 25 million views on social media, which focuses on growing up in the 2000s.

Previous Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Glenn Moore, known for his appearances on Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You will also be performing the same night.

On Thursday, 9th July, there will be performances from Ahir Shah, who won the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2023 and is known for his Netflix special Ends, while writer and comedian Pierre Novellie will be delivering his show Do The One About, described as “the very best” of his “critically-acclaimed decade of observational nerd stand up”.

On Tuesday, 9th July, prominent political comedian and Radio 4 host Matt Forde will be performing his new show Project Holy Moly aimed at finding joy amid global political turmoil. Character comedian Rory Cargill will also be performing a new show exploring British television.

Dugdale Arts Centre describes the previews as “your chance to experience fresh material, big laughs, and electric atmospheres right on your doorstep, whether you’re a lifelong comedy fan or just looking for a brilliant night out”.

Tickets are £13.50 for each show. For more information:
