Thomas Fawns is accused of sexual assault by three women but no arrests have been made

An Edmonton councillor suspended by the Labour Party last year is being investigated by police, the Dispatch can confirm.
Thomas Fawns, who represents Upper Edmonton, is accused of sexual assault by three women, including one who alleges he raped her.
When the Labour Party was made aware of the allegations in February last year, he was suspended, and Cllr Fawns has sat as an independent councillor ever since. He was elected in May 2022.
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that its investigation is still ongoing and that no arrests have been made and no-one has been charged.
The Dispatch understands the alleged offences took place between 2011 and 2016.
A London Labour spokesperson said: “This is subject to an ongoing police investigation and we are unable to comment further at present.”
During his ongoing suspension by Labour, Cllr Fawns has continued to attend council meetings, including the planning committee which he is a member of. He is listed as an independent on the council website.
Cllr Fawns has not responded to requests for comment.
