Body of 84-year-old Lesma Jackson was found at an address in Enfield Highway on Sunday

Detectives have charged a man with the murder of his mother in Enfield.
At around 2.15am on Sunday, 30th January, Metropolitan Police officers attended a residential address in Stainton Road, Enfield Highway, following concerns for the welfare of an elderly woman.
Officers found the 84-year-old woman suffering from a number of injuries. She was pronounced dead a short time later. She has since been named as Lesma Jackson. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Gareth Jackson, aged 50, of Stainton Road in Enfield Highway, was charged on suspicion of murder and is due to appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court later today.
