Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters helped tackle the blaze on Thursday morning

A flat on the seventh floor of an Enfield tower block was badly damaged by a fire this morning (Thursday 6th).
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the blaze at the 13-storey block of flats in Exeter Road, Enfield Highway.
Part of a three-roomed flat on the seventh floor was destroyed by the fire. The flat’s balcony was also damaged, as well as the balcony belonging to the next door flat.
There were no reports of any injuries, however.
The brigade was called at 11.02am and the fire was under control by 12pm. Fire crews from Enfield, Chingford and Edmonton fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
