Chris Seddon took up painting as a hobby after becoming a father for the first time

A local artist who started painting and drawing as a hobby after becoming a father is set to host an exhibition of his work.

Chris Seddon regularly travels around Enfield and Haringey for inspiration and has put together a collection of watercolours he has painted of scenes from the two boroughs.

Some of the locations he has captured on canvas include Pymmes Park, Meridian Water, Bruce Castle and Tottenham Cemetery.

Chris said: “In 2020 I started a regular drawing practice and began to paint in watercolours. This was inspired in part by a change in lifestyle brought about by fatherhood but also a desire to connect with the area around me.

“I moved to Edmonton at the same time and started to draw and paint the parks and streets that I found myself in. I’m a local artist
trying to capture Enfield the way I see it.”

Chris’s exhibition will take place at The Antwerp Arms in Church Road, Tottenham N17 8AS, from 12th November until 17th December. For more information:
