Man charged after discovery of firearms and drugs stash

Thirteen counterfeit Glock-style guns plus magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammo were all discovered at a property in Palmers Green

A Palmers Green man has been charged after firearms, ammunition and drugs were recovered from his home.

Corey Ledgister, aged 51 and of Farndale Avenue, was arrested yesterday (Thursday 9th) and charged today (Friday 10th).

Metropolitan Police officers discovered 13 counterfeit Glock-style firearms, 13 extended magazines and 640 rounds of ammunition at the property.

Ledgister has been charged with 13 counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

Officers also seized cannabis from the property and located and safely secured eight prohibited dogs, which had injuries consistent with breeding and dog fighting.

Ledgister was subsequently further charged with possession of a Class B drug and animal cruelty offences.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Stratford Magistrates Court tomorrow tomorrow (Saturday 11th).

Detective Chief Inspector Damian Hill said: “Tackling violence and the threat of counterfeit firearms is one we take incredibly seriously. I am pleased that our operation has resulted in dangerous weapons taken off our streets.”
