Man charged with murder of Palmers Green pensioner

No other people are being sought by police following the fatal stabbing in Millicent Grove

A man has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in Palmers Green.

Aleks Tsachev, aged 21, of no fixed address, was due to appear at the Old Bailey this morning (Monday 13th). Both men were known to one another and police are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.

Police were called at about 12.30am on Tuesday, 7th May, to reports of a man stabbed at an address in Millicent Grove. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man, aged 66, died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Officers are not naming the victim at this time while awaiting confirmation that other family members have been informed.

A 16-year-old boy was also treated for stab injuries; he Is expected to make a full recovery.
