Enfield LGBT Network aims to connect older gay, bisexual and trans people in the community, writes Finn Louge

A new community group for LGBT people aged over 60 is being launched in Enfield.
In collaboration with Age UK Enfield, Enfield LGBT Network aims to connect local gay, bisexual and trans people in the community, provide support and create new friendships and connections.
Mark Healey, CEO of Enfield LGBT Network, said: “This group is about celebrating who we are, no matter our age. It’s a chance to come together, share experiences, and ensure that older LGBTQ+ people in Enfield have a strong sense of belonging and community.”
The initiative looks to celebrate pride, life and connection in the LGBT community within Enfield, for people of all ages.
Anna Kourdoullou-Iqbal, health and wellbeing manager at Age UK Enfield, said: “Age UK Enfield is committed to supporting inclusivity and ensuring that everyone—regardless of age, gender, or sexuality—feels valued and connected.
“This group will provide a safe and welcoming space for older LGBTQ+ residents to come together, share experiences, and celebrate who they are.”
The group will officially launch on Monday, 10th November, and will meet every Monday from 1pm-2.30 pm at The Lancaster Centre, 53 Lancaster Road, Enfield EN2 0BU. For more information, contact Mark Healey:
