Detectives are appealing for help to identify a man in connection with an attack on the office of Enfield North MP Feryal Clark.

The appeal comes after graffiti was sprayed on the Labour MP’s constituency office in Hertford Road, Enfield Wash, at around 11.05pm on Tuesday, 21st November.

Officers were contacted the following morning and attended the scene. CCTV footage was secured and, following enquiries, officers are releasing an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Louis Blackburne-Maze, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a racially aggravated crime. There is no place for hate in London and it’s important that everyone feels safe on our streets.

“We are very keen to speak to this man so if you know who he is or have any other information that could help, we encourage you to get in touch with police.”

The Met Police can be called on 020 8246 9386 relating to this incident, quoting CAD 1361/04DEC23. To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Update (20th December):

The suspects are no longer being sought, with no charges being made. The Dispatch has been told: “There has been engagement with the young people involved and the MP’s office, and the police are not taking the matter further”.
