Police issue appeal for witnesses as victim of fatal road traffic collision in Edmonton named

Detectives are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road traffic collision to come forward – as the 28-year-old victim is named for the first time.

Shortly after 4.30am on Sunday, 27th October, pedestrian Dickson Achiu was hit by a car on the A406 North Circular near Meridian Water. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car driver stopped and is assisting police with enquiries. There has been no arrest.

However, detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who was travelling on the A406 near Meridian Way at the time of the incident and may have captured events on their dash cam, to get in contact.
