Khalima Khan progressed from working as a receptionist to now being a senior service engagement manager for the Oviva

A healthcare professional from Ponders End has won a prestigious award at a glitzy national ceremony for British Asians.
Khalima Khan was presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Healthcare of the Year Award at the British Asians Who’s Who Awards 2026, hosted by Samara Events.
Over the course of her career in healthcare Khalima has progressed from working as a receptionist to now being a senior service engagement manager for the Oviva.
She was nominated for the award by colleagues and other people in the industry she had met via LinkedIn.
Khalima said: “Throughout my career, I have supported patients within community healthcare settings across a range of projects and services. I currently work with patients living with complex obesity and weight-related health conditions.
“I am also a graduate of herbal medicine from Middlesex University, and my passion has always been centred on supporting patients to improve their health and wellbeing.
“As a British Asian woman, I have navigated my own path and worked hard to build a respected career within the health technology sector, working closely with NHS organisations and healthcare partners.”
Khalima added that she hoped to “raise awareness and inspire Muslim women to speak confidently in the workplace, advocate for themselves, and develop greater self-confidence in their professional and personal lives”.
Khalima also runs an Instagram page called ‘Women In Digital’ which can be found here.
