Reviving the heart of Edmonton

Hannah Southgate invites locals to All Saints Church for a community festival

All Saints Church

As part of a new community and heritage project, All Saints Church in Edmonton is delighted to be opening its building this month for a day of free music, crafts, food, games and history.

Everyone is welcome to come along on Saturday, 7th September, and explore this inspiring and significant place that has been the heart of Edmonton for 800 years.

The community festival is one element of the ‘Reviving All Saints, Edmonton’ project which has received generous funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and other local funders. The project is about reconnecting with Edmonton’s communities and ensuring this valuable, historic building can sustainably benefit and inspire local people for many generations to come.

As well as the festival, we are delivering a programme of other activities and events in the coming months, in addition to undertaking urgent repairs to the building. It is our hope that the Reviving All Saints project will generate widespread support, ideas and enthusiasm for a much bigger project in the future that would see All Saints become a key community asset once more.

You can learn all about our plans for All Saints Church at the festival this month as well as enjoying, free of charge; bell-ringing and tours of the church tower, a short talk on the history of All Saints, craft activities for families, a self-led children’s heritage trail of the church, steel pan performance and workshop, oral history exhibition, small animals encounters with Ark Farm, face painting, local food and refreshments.

The event will be running from 11am-4pm on Saturday, 7th September, at All Saints Church, Church Street, Edmonton, N9 9AT. There is limited parking available so we recommend travelling by foot or on public transport.
