Kozma Papa stabbed Bledi Petraj to death in Queen Elizabeth’s Drive on 4th February

A man has been jailed for murdering a man in a quiet Southgate street in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.
Kozma Papa, aged 22 and of Fairview Road, Cheltenham, stabbed Bledi Petraj to death on 4th February at around 2pm.
Papa appeared at the Central Criminal Court on Friday (6th) where he was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 20 years, having pleaded guilty to the murder at an earlier hearing.
The fatal stabbing took place in Queen Elizabeth’s Drive. Bledi, from Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex, was found with stab injuries and died later the same day.
Papa was arrested by Metropolitan Police officers in a car that was stopped in Hertfordshire within hours of the stabbing. He was charged the following day with murder.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Goode said: “My thoughts are with Bledi’s family and loved ones who continue to mourn his tragic death. This was a fight that ended in a senseless loss of life and Papa will now rightly spend a significant amount of time in prison.”
