Spring into song with Enfield Choral Society

David Luckcock from Enfield Choral Society on what people can expect at the choir’s spring concert

Are you one of the many millions who enjoy listening to favourite songs from the 1960s and 70s, such as hits by Abba, ELO, Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles and Queen – in addition to Barber, Rutter and Sondheim?

If so, Saturday, 15th March is the time to hear these – and more – live at St Paul’s Church in Winchmore Hill.

Our concert goes beyond pop to include other musical genres from the same era. For those who are of a more classical persuasion, John Rutter’s Gloria (composed in 1974) and Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei will be performed; this is a choral version (1967) of the much-loved Adagio for Strings.

We’ll also be accompanied by piano and percussion. There won’t be any glitzy videos on display, but you will see our musical director Mark Sproson and singers in full flow. We hope you’ll join us for an excellent evening of entertainment.

Enfield Choral Society is performing at St Paul’s Church in Church Hill, Winchmore Hill N21 1JA from 7.30pm on Saturday, 15th March. Tickets are £17 (£16 in advance) with under-25s in full-time education able to enter for £7 and all under-16s able to enter for free if accompanied by a paying adult. To book tickets:
