Around 40 firefighters spent two hours tackling the fire near Bush Hill Park Golf Course last night

A bungalow in Bush Hill Park was almost completely destroyed by fire last night (Wednesday 23rd) – but no-one was hurt.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled the blaze at the detached property in Ringmer Place, close to Bush Hill Park Golf Club, at around 7.30pm.
Most of the ground floor was damaged and the roof was destroyed by the fire. Three people left the building before London Fire Brigade (LFB) arrived.
One of the brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as a water tower to help fight the fire from above. The fire was brought under control by 9.30pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
