“We’re all going on a European tour!”

That’s the refrain from supporters of Enfield Town as the club makes history tomorrow by playing its first-ever overseas competitive fixture.

The Towners are taking part in the Fenix Trophy, a UEFA-approved tournament involving non-professional clubs selected for their unique ethos.

Over 80 Town fans are believed to be making the trip to Copenhagen to see Enfield Town take on the current Fenix champions BK Skjold in Group A of the twelve-team, four-group tournament, tomorrow (Tuesday 5th).

Town won the corresponding game 3-1 in late November and also have to play Welsh side Llantwit Major FC twice for the right to reach the final four in Italy in May.

Meanwhile the club will once again be celebrating International Women’s Day in its own special way this coming Saturday, 9th March, when all women and girls will be admitted for free to the home league men’s game against Lewes (kick-off 3pm).

The day will feature a pre-match gig by local duo That Blue Patch, a visit from Hertfordshire Zoo, and advice on how to join the ladies teams.

The club is keen for as many female fans as possible to attend the game in a safe, fun and affordable environment and to learn more about becoming players at adult/youth level or how to join as a member or volunteer.
