The fight involved “around 200 youths” according to the Met Police, but there were no reports of any injuries

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that two 14-year-old girls were arrested during a mass brawl in Enfield said to involve “around 200 youths”.
The fight appeared to be organised in advance and was thought to have started near the KFC at Colosseum Retail Park in Southbury before spreading north along the A10 Great Cambridge Road, all the way to Carterhatch Lane.
The brawl last Wednesday (13th) was witnessed by Rick Jewell, a senior Labour councillor and cabinet member, who was visiting Toby Carvery with his wife.
Cllr Jewell told the Dispatch: “There were hundreds of kids swarming across the A10. They were running across the road and the traffic was stopped. There must have been ten or twelve police cars.
“The people in the Toby Carvery were quite scared. It was a bit mad. It’s lucky no-one got hurt.”
No-one has been charged in relation to the incident, but the Metropolitan Police did confirm two girls were arrested before being released without further action. There were no reports of any injuries.
A spokesperson said: “At 4.12pm on Wednesday, 13th August, police responded to reports of a disturbance in Enfield.
“Officers attended the scene outside a restaurant on Great Cambridge Road, where there appeared to be a group of around 200 youths aged between 12-15 years involved in public disorder and anti-social behaviour.
“Officers authorised a Section 35 dispersal order to cover the Dearsley Road area.
“Two girls, both aged 14, were arrested for breaching the Section 35.”
Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone who has information on the incident is asked to call police on 101, using reference 6549/13Aug.
