A 19-year-old woman was killed in a collision on the Enfield section of the motorway
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and people with dashcam footage to come forward following a fatal crash on the M25 last week.
At around 6.42pm on Thursday, 6th October, a HGV and two cars – a BMW and a black Vauxhall Mokka – collided on the clockwise M25 between junctions 24 and 25.
A 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was airlifted to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition. Both casualties had been travelling in the Vauxhall.
The driver of the HGV was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. The driver of the BMW was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving while over the prescribed alcohol limit. Both were taken into custody before being released on bail.
Metropolitan Police detectives are now investigating the incident. Any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage are asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 6586/06Oct.
