Witnesses to Edmonton shooting sought by police

The victim was shot near Montagu Road in the early hours of Sunday morning

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a shooting in Edmonton.

Police were called in the early hours of Sunday (8th) to a hospital after a 25-year-old man self-presented with a gunshot injury. He continues to receive treatment for his injury which is not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives from the specialist crime command are investigating. They have established that the victim was shot in a park in the vicinity of Montagu Road, Edmonton, between 1am and 2am.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting, or who may have captured the incident on their dash cam.

At this early stage there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
