The Enfield man remains in a serious condition in hospital after being found at Lavender Hill Cemetery on Wednesday

Kyle Clifford has been arrested on suspicion of killing three women.

The 26-year-old Enfield man, from Rendlesham Road, spent most of Wednesday on the run from police after being wanted in connection with the deaths of Carol Hunt, 61 and her daughters Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday evening (9th).

A crossbow was reportedly used in the attack and the police search centred on Enfield, with schools being put on alert as he remained on the loose. Clifford was eventually tracked down to a location inside Lavender Hill Cemetery, but because of the injuries he was discovered with he had initially been unable to speak to police.

Clifford remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the victims’ family at this tragic time.

“The investigation is moving at pace and as a result, we have now arrested a man. Enquiries are continuing at this time.”

Clifford is a former pupil of Chace Community School.
